As a follow on to last week’s post, I ended up buying a 17” MacBook Pro this week. I went with a refurbished model (which saved me $400), and skipped the high resolution display. It should be here on Wednesday.
It’s my first Mac, and I’ve wanted one for ages, so I’m excited to get it.

You’ll love it. I also got a 17” MacBook Pro this summer. I used to use Macs way back in college and have wanted to switch back forever. When I started messing around with Ruby on Rails this summer Windoze issues pushed me to make “The Switch”. It made Rails development MUCH easier.
It will take some getting used to though. I hadn’t realized just how much Windows knowledge (shortcuts & knowing how stuff works under the covers, etc.) I took for granted. It was really weird being a noob on a computer.
I’ve been using for 8 days now. Oh man, you are oingt ot love it.
